Introduction

Short Bio

Dr. Wei Xie is tenured  professor at School of Advanced Agricultural Sciences in Peking University. He is also deputy director of China Center for Agricultural Policy in Peking University. His research focuses on climate change and food security policy. He has published more than 50 papers in international journals, such as Nature, Nature Plants, Nature Food, American Journal of Agricultural Economics, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management. His paper about climate change and beer drought received the 2018 Altimetric Top 100 award and was the most “talked about” climate change-related paper in media and social media. Currently he is PI/Co-PI of 6 projects about food security and economics of climate change. Based on his research, he also submitted several policy briefs to the government to aid policy decisions.
