Co-organized by School of Advanced Agricultural Sciences, Peking University (in preparation), Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of Plant Physiology & Ecology, SIBS, CAS, Sichuan University of Agricultural Sciences, the 12th International Conference on Plant Biology Frontiers was held from April 10 to April 14, 2015 in Chengdu.

With plant hormone mechanism and development as its theme, this conference concluded that the development process of plant is mainly determined by its internal procedures while environmental signals may influence and adjust this process. Botanists and biologists have conduced in-depth research on plant development and its interaction with the environment from various perspectives, including morphology, physiology, cells and molecules, with significant achievements having been made. The purpose of this conference was to build a platform for exchange among botanical biologists on various levels and in various fields. With plant hormone mechanism and development as its focused area, this conference consisted of keynote speeches, invited presentations and posters. Over 50 researchers contributed the posters and 40 gave speeches and presentations during the conference, with the number of audience around 200.
